Once again we were thrilled to be able to help out our friends at Norwood by partly financing along with two other charities, a ceiling hoist for their Kennedy Leigh Centre. This hoist will enable the staff to more easily transfer the immobile children to and from various areas around the play room. Our Honorary Secretary Malcolm Shaffron and his wife Evelyn visited Norwood on Tuesday 18th February to catch up with the staff and see the hoist in action.
This latest donation to Norwood is part of our ongoing relationship with them and our commitment to helping out when we can. We have great ties with Norwood, as Mick Cohen our founder, grew up in the original Norwood Orphanage, and it’s where our first ever outing started from, way back in 1928.
