On Tuesday 14th August, 2012 some of the LTFUC committee, accompanied by their wives, were honoured and privileged to be invited to spend an afternoon at the Helen & Douglas House in Oxford.

Helen House opened in 1982 and is the world’s first children’s hospice celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and Douglas House opened in 2004.

What an incredible place with such amazing and totally dedicated people and we all came away totally uplifted by everything we saw with our spirits raised high seeing these children receiving so much love, care and attention. We had come armed with toys and were so happy to see the children playing with them before we left.
