Roy Ellis
It was with incredible sadness I heard of the passing of Roy Ellis, the beloved husband of Geraldine. I had known Roy for many years when he was Head of the Public Carriage Office. When he retired from the PCO, he continued to be extremely interested in the taxi industry and kept a link with the trade. He subsequently joined the London Vintage Taxi Association, and I met him at various events supporting the LTCFC, however our paths have not crossed in more recent times. I consider myself fortunate to have known such an exceptional person, certainly one of life’s true gentlemen. I can offer no words of comfort that will help during this sad time other than to say to Geraldine, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children, I offer our heartfelt condolences to Geraldine and the family.
Sincerely,
Michael Son BEM
