Frederick Denney also known to other drivers as ‘Den’ had been a green badge cabbie since his son Aaron was born in 1986. Aaron contacted us recently to advise that his father had tragically passed away at the end of last year, at just 67 years of age.
At Fred’s funeral in December a collection was taken and the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children was chosen as beneficiary. Aaron told us that his Dad loved being a cabbie and would have wanted nothing more than for the chosen charity to be related to his trade that he regarded so dearly.
Fred leaves behind his wife Carol, son Aaron and daughter-in-law Emma, and Fred’s beloved grandsons Mason & Harrison, to whom we send our deepest condolences.
We also wish to thank the Denney family for choosing our charity, and in Fred’s memory these monies will be well-spent on helping London’s disabled and disadvantaged children.
